Is Your Door Ready for a Smart or Keypad Lock?

Compatibility starts with the door, lock preparation, backset, deadbolt position and alignment. Photos and the selected product details help determine whether installation or replacement fits the existing opening.

Available code, app, key, fingerprint or connectivity functions vary by model. We limit setup to the features supported by the selected compatible hardware.

Installation or Replacement on the Existing Door

The existing deadbolt and door alignment must work correctly for the new hardware to perform as intended. The scope may be first-time installation, replacement of an older smart lock or conversion from a compatible conventional deadbolt.

Installation, Setup and Functional Testing

After compatibility is confirmed, the selected smart or keypad lock is installed or replaced, then manual, keypad and available locking functions are tested. App or connectivity setup depends on the specific product.

Setup is limited to the functions and information supported by the selected hardware. Wi-Fi, hub, account and app requirements vary by model.

Is a smart lock the same as commercial access control?
